Made from a parcel that is around fifty years old, the Cornalin Les Excès reveals its full intensity here. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels, this rare and demanding grape variety, with naturally irregular yields, is produced in a limited edition of 854 numbered bottles.
The nose opens with deep aromas of ripe black fruit, enhanced by delicate toasted notes from barrel aging. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, round and persistent, supported by excellent substance and firm yet balanced tannins.
A characterful Cornalin, made to accompany red meats, game dishes and moments of fine dining.
When purchasing 6 bottles or more from Au Clos, the wines come in a wooden crate.
