From a plot that is around fifty years old, Cornalin Les Excès reveals all its intensity here. Aged for 18 months in oak barrels, this rare and demanding grape variety, with naturally irregular yields, is produced in a limited run of 854 numbered bottles.
The nose opens with deep aromas of ripe dark fruit and cherry, enhanced by delicate toasty notes from barrel aging. On the palate, the wine is full-bodied, round and persistent, supported by generous texture and firm yet well-balanced tannins.
A characterful Cornalin, made to accompany red meats, game dishes and moments of fine dining.
When purchasing 6 bottles of Au Clos, the wines are supplied in a wooden crate.
