The end of last year marked the arrival of a true gem in our cellar: La Petite Arvine 2023 Les Caillées, the very first wine of our new Au Clos range. This exceptional wine, produced in only 500 bottles, is a true treasure that we are eager to share with you. La Petite Arvine comes from a plot over fifty years old, located on the sunny slopes of Saillon, an exceptional terroir that gives this wine all its uniqueness. This 2023 vintage embodies all the expertise of our estate and the passion for working with vines that have stood the test of time. It is a wine that tells a story, a story of heritage, terroir, and respect for the fruit.
The Live Tasting
During the tasting, Clément Luisier, our wine expert, did not hide his enthusiasm: "Magnificent, super expressive," he declared, captivated from the first sips. This wine stands out for its exotic side, an almost exuberant fruitiness that charms with its intensity. A true pleasure for the senses!
But that’s not all. During this tasting, Clément also noticed a touch of petrol notes, a signature of the grape variety that pairs perfectly with the wine’s freshness. "It’s very, very pretty," he adds while tasting, impressed by the length on the palate and the complexity that unfolds with every second. Citrus fruits like lemon and grapefruit awaken the taste buds, while a saline note finishes this beautiful experience with a long and delicate finish.
