The end of last year marked the arrival of a true gem in our cellar: Les Caillées Petite Arvine 2023, the very first wine from our new Au Clos range. Produced in just 500 bottles, this exceptional wine is a true treasure that we can’t wait for you to discover. A Wine Rich in History and Terroir
The Petite Arvine comes from a parcel of vines more than fifty years old, located on the sunny slopes of Saillon, an exceptional terroir that gives this wine its distinctive character. This 2023 vintage embodies all our estate’s expertise and the passion that goes into working with vines that have stood the test of time. It is a wine that tells a story—a story of heritage, terroir, and respect for the fruit.
The Live Tasting
During the tasting, Clément Luisier, our wine expert, made no secret of his enthusiasm: “Magnificent, wonderfully expressive,” he declared, won over from the very first sips. This wine stands out for its exotic character, with an almost exuberant fruitiness that captivates with its intensity. A true pleasure for the senses!
But that’s not all. During the tasting, Clément also noticed a touch of petrol notes, a signature of the grape variety that pairs perfectly with the wine’s freshness. “It’s very, very lovely,” he added as he tasted, impressed by the length on the palate and the complexity that unfold with every second. Citrus fruits such as lemon and grapefruit awaken the palate, while a saline note brings this beautiful experience to a long and delicate finish.
